Copying data between installations

This manual is for MultiMC but the process is analogus for the CurseForge application. To access the instance folder through CurseForge app click the modpack > 3 dots next to 'play' button > 'open folder'. You can also update mods manually in the CurseForge app to avoid the need of copying the data but be sure to update mods to the correct version.

Copying JourneyMap data

1. Open MultiMC.
2. Right-click the old installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'.
   
3. Go to 'journeymap' folder and copy 'data' folder.
   
   
4. Right-click the new installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'
   
5. Go to 'journeymap' folder and paste the copied 'data' folder there.
   

Alternatively you can copy the whole 'journeymap' folder.

Copying saves between installations

1. Open MultiMC.
2. Right-click the old installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'.
3. Copy 'saves' folder.
4. Right-click the new installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'
5. Paste the copied 'saves' folder there.

Copying user settings

1. Open MultiMC.
2. Right-click the old installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'.
3. Copy 'options.txt' file.
4. Right-click the new installation and select 'Minecraft Folder'
5. Paste the copied 'options.txt' file there.
